Wakeup call for the opposition
June 6th, 2015A left wing pundit finds it sad that the opposition hasn’t been able to exploit the many mistakes made by the government.
“Where is the opposition?,” Népszava editor Péter Németh asks in a headline. He quotes fresh opinion polls showing a sudden swell in the number of undecided or passive voters, which prompts him to conclude that by now a majority of Hungarians regard Fidesz as doing more harm than good. The problem, he continues, is that they cannot see who would do more good than harm, because the Left simply hasn’t been active enough. Since they often demand early elections, Németh warns, it would be high time for them to show some political talent.
