Trump seen as the one who can end the war in Ukraine

In Magyar Nemzet, László Szentesi Zöldi lambasts western leaders who in his view are in denial of the stark military reality in Ukraine. He finds it obvious that Russia cannot be defeated, and that Ukraine will not be able to recover the territories now under Russian occupation. Further fighting can only increase the death toll and the suffering, he adds. He is convinced nevertheless that if the Democrats remain in power in Washington, the war will continue indefinitely. If, on the other hand, Trump becomes president, Szentesi Zöldi is certain that a ceasefire will come into effect before long.
