May 18th, 2024A leftist columnist warns that hate speech may easily transmute into violence.
In Népszava, Mária Gál mentions that the attempted murder of PM Fico was the third similar case in the past 6 years in Slovakia, after first a journalist and his fiancée, then a gay couple were shot dead. She lays the blame at the doorstep of those who stoke hatred to promote their political agenda. Gál also accuses Hungarian pro-government pundits of practicing hate speech in paid YouTube ads.
