DK launches online TV channel
December 6th, 2022A liberal commentator accuses the Democratic Coalition of trying to emulate government propaganda by launching its own – equally biased – YouTube television channel.
On Friday, the Democratic Coalition party launched its TV channel on YouTube with a roundtable discussion between DK luminaries. The channel is intended to serve as a party platform with regular shows publicising the views of the party.
On Telex, Judit Presinszky finds the first show aired on the channel disappointing. The liberal commentator sees the new channel as just another slanted ‘propaganda tool’ emulating pro-government TV stations and shows. She accuses the first show of DK TV of paying lip service to the DK frontrunner Klára Dobrev. In her concluding remark she fears that opposition parties including the DK have no interest in objective reporting, but want to use the media for their own political purposes – just like the government.
